Special Education law in the state of Oregon is best explained in Oregon Advocacy Center's Special Education: A Guide for Parents and Advocates, 4th Edition. I was a co-author of the third edition and it was my goal that the guide give parents enough information so that they can effectively advocate for their children. The guide uses easy to understand language and focuses on areas where problems often arise. The fourth edition has updated the law, but for the most part, kept intact the organizational layout of the material.
